Bay Leaves have an old and noble history as the ancient Greeks used them for chaplets to crown the Olympic athletes. It was a great honor to wear a laurel chaplet and statues portraying the athletes bearing chaplets can be seen to this day. Bay leaves are highly aromatic and can be used in recipes to enhance flavor. This classic spice is grown in Greece and can be used in soups, curries, stews and added to meats to marinate in the authentic Greek flavor!
