Aux Anysetiers du Roy was first a restaurant located on Paris’s Ile Saint-Louis, near Notre-Dame, popular in the 1960s. The restaurant specialized in Provençal cooking, using olive oil, aromatic herbs, and garlic. At the end of dinner, each customer received a gift pot of the special herbes de Provence blend prepared by Louis Lombard, who was the first to include lavender flowers in the aromatic herbs. The success of the little crock gave his sons the idea to produce a line of items packed in clay and stoneware pots. This combination of thyme, basil, savory, fennel and lavender that captures the flavors of sunny Provence and enlivens meat, sauces, soups and poultry. The herbs come in a reusable covered crock made of Provençal clay. Anysetiers du Roy's Herbs de Provence will quickly become a cooking staple in your kitchen, the cute cermaic jar will quickly find a home in a prominent place on your counter or spice rack.
